    I have loved every minute of this series. From start to finish, this series kept me on the edge of my seat. If you like suspenseful, dark stories, then this is one that you don't want to miss!Finally, I got all of the answers that I had been waiting for. I thought I had things figured out. Man, was I ever wrong! This was one ending that I didn't see coming. When the identity of the original Delaney Grove rapist/killer was revealed, I was shocked.Of course, there is plenty of road to travel before everything is revealed. Logan has finally learned Lana's secrets...or at least he thinks he has. This makes for an interesting turn of events. There are some surprising alliances formed and Logan is forced to reevaluate his morality and values.The final stages of Lana's revenge plan are put into place. Although I found some of this particular aspect to be a bit over-the-top and unbelievable, I still found the story to be highly enjoyable. She definitely left her mark on Delaney Grove. I only wish that some of the really bad guys, like the Sheriff, had been tortured a bit more. I'm twisted like that. After all that build-up, I felt like some of the worst offenders got off a little easier in the end. It was like Lana was growing tired of her own need for revenge.I don't want to say too much and give anything away. I will just say that this series has completely blown me away. It is a must-read if you like dark, suspenseful reads with a touch of romance. It is terrific!Check out more of my reviews at www.bookaddicthaven.com

    BEST dark series I've ever read (hidden between the WORST covers ever).I don’t know what else to say after the fifth book except that I’ve stopped questioning my morality and that I am officially insane, there’s no doubt about it.Maybe I’ll just repeat what I've already said: This series is phenomenal and worth every penny BUT only if you’re not easily shocked. It is very, very dark with lots of triggers. You have to be open-minded and constantly remind yourself that this is only fiction. There’s another thing I simply don’t get: Who is S. T. Abby? How come I've never heard of her before? Because there's NO WAY she's a debut author. The plot is too intricate and the story too brilliantly interwoven, the details too carefully and thoughtfully planned out. The writing is too polished, characterization too complex and meticulous. And that ending …God, what am I going to read next? This series gave me so much adrenaline I can't even begin to express. I’m already feeling the first symptoms of withdrawal…

    Well, well, well. This author has a top spot on my Bow-Down-Bitches list (Aleatha R. is still numero uno, though).What the friggedy-fuck. Stabby, I hope you're penning another series, pronto, which I hope will be just as great as the MindFuck, otherwise, I may just start trolling your FB and author site. Give us more!5 excellent stars for the entire series. Highly recommend

    5 Judge, Jury and Executioner StarsA . M . A . Z . I . N . G . . . . S . E . R . I . E . S . . . . I am just going to fangirl here for a minute.........................Thanks, needed that ;)Right, so I can't talk about this book without giving anything away being that it's the last book and all and holds all those important answers. What I can say is that this series has hit my top 5 'dark' series list. For me it had everything in it I love in a dark read and the extra crime element and profiling made it even better.For me I wished the ending would have been as full on as the rest of the series, or maybe it's just the endings in the other books all ended on a dramatic cliffhanger so the final ending just seemed to fizzle. Regardless it was still brilliant.If you have ever liked dark reads do yourself a favour and read this series, you won't be sorry.

    Wherever you go, go with all your heart – ConfuciusI agree with this quote one hundred per cent.So, the truth is out. Logan is furious and confused. He knows.Lana is sad and determined to avenge no matter what. She knows that he knows.Lana and Jake (her best friend, her chosen brother) will set the final stage in the small town of Delaney Grove:PanicFearRunningScreamsBlood bathDesperationLive TV shows with the truthFireRed, red everywhereIt is time also to know who the original killer was 10 years ago. I have to admit that I suspected a great number of characters. Unfortunately, they have been exterminated one by one. The exposure of his identity was a surprise for me. A nasty surprise.The ending is happily twisted and sweetly dark. This series was never a fairytale after all.Final comment: I would love to learn more about Hadley and Jake and the development of their strange relationship. Although I could not have enough of Logan and Lana, I believe that these two sidekicks have stolen the show in the last two books. Could we possibly have a spinoff or a short novel?

    Best fricken DARK series ever. I was literally glued to this series. I think the hubby and the kids are quite thankful I'm finally through it =)) it consumed any and all my free time!! I LoVeD it❤❤❤This book, awww this book. It ended the series brilliantly and let me say, it wasn't predictable to me at all. I wasn't sure how things were going to play out, it wasn't this way at all, but wow, I loved it!!! Logan, god I am so in love with Logan Bennett. He loves hard, and he loves protectively. Lana, this girl, I want to be her. Well, I want to be as strong and as bad ass as her. She has to be literally the strongest heroine I've ever read about. She deserves all the revenge she's seeking and she definitely deserves the love of Logan Bennett. Together these two are perfect. The ending of this book..... perfect. Beautiful. I just don't know what the heck I'm gonna do with myself now with no more Logan & Lana...And lastly, who the hell is S.T. Abby? My hat off to you dear author, amazingly done. Definitely a new auto buy author for me

    10+++++ TOP FAVORITE SERIES OF THE YEAR stars!!! BEST DARK SERIES I’VE EVER READ!“Any demon is capable of cruelty, but only an angel is majestic enough to rain down vengeance for the innocent. Respirei, sorri, sofri, chorei e me revoltei junto com eles!!ALL THE FEELINGS!!! “Now go kill them all while I burn the town to the ground.” ♥️♥️♥️

    4 starsSo, this is probably going to be a very scattered review because my mind has been kind of scattered. But hopefully I can successfully convey my final feelings on this book, and the series in general.For those of you who saw my review for Book 4, I felt like Logan (view spoiler)[crossed a line that was unforgivable. Sure he apologized a couple of times in Book 5, but eh. I didn't really feel his remorse. And honestly....I didn't care if he regretted it because the action itself was sickening IMO -- and put him in territory edging towards the vile rapists who liked to punish and hurt through sex. That being said, I think this is going to be one of those cases where I am the only one who feels that way. I believe most people will feel Logan was justified due to where he was at emotionally. I just have a REALLY hard line when it comes to heroes doing anything that hints of abusiveness toward the heroine. So, did I forgive him? No, I really didn't. Did I end up liking him again? Yes, I did. Did I think he was good for Lana? Yes, I did. He finally earned back some positive feelings for me based on what he does and how far he goes for Lana in the last couple of chapters. So when the whole romance was said and done, I was reasonably satisfied at the end (as Dexter-like as it was lol).(hide spoiler)]On to other things now that I got my beef with Logan off my chest. Lana. She was a great character. At first, I wasn't sure I could like a character capable of such violence and torture. But I really did. There is just something about a revenge plot, an avenging angel character that just really pulled me in. Lana was the definition of a kickass heroine. She was also a survivor of epic proportions. She loved fiercely and protectively, and that made me kind of love her myself! I also have to give a shout out to two of the other compelling characters: Jake and Hadley. They were fantastic and I loved them as well. To summarize my feelings about the series as a whole, it was:--unique for the romance genre (horror romance, as Lana might put it)--bloodily entertaining--exciting--never boring--action packed:D

    5 stars! "I love humanity but hate humans." EinsteinHot dam if this book didn't live up to its title because mindf*ck series was just that, total messed up, and twisted. This whole series was a built up, in each installment we find out a bit more of what our serial killer Lana went through in her past. "Revenge is a dish best served cold...."In the first book we start off where Lana meets Logan and we know what she is, a serial killer and she is on a warpath of vengeance. For her to fall for an FBI agent is just ironic, but the way Logan, is able to see past her cold facade fascinates her. She finds herself falling for him and Logan is just as into her too. Of course Logan has no idea who Lana really is. This books had me in the edge of my seat, what happened to Lana and her family is horrendous, truly the act of evil. It starts with revenge and it ends in revenge. I couldn't help and be on Lana's side, I desperately wanted for her to make everyone involved pay and get her life back. She was consumed in these plans, made herself into this cold blooded killer. But been in love with Logan, made her feel alive again. But how can it this love survive after everything comes out? What will Logan be forced to do?! This whole series was fantastic, with twist and turns and just when I thought I had it figured it out, BAM! I was so wrong and that ending, I did not see the coming. ❤

Romance Series: - 5 book seriesLove triangle? - (view spoiler)[Not really (hide spoiler)]Cheating? - (view spoiler)[No (hide spoiler)]HEA? - (view spoiler)[Yes (hide spoiler)]Would I read more by this author/or in this series? - Abso-fecking-lutelyRating - 5+++ stars★Review★I am going to review the entire 5 book series in this review.I cannot even begin to put into words how awesome this was.It is the best thing I have read in a long long time.I am gutted this has been out for over a year and I had never heard of it!It is a dark, twisted, violent story of a woman out to revenge what was done to her and her family. It changed her, made her into what she is today. But what happens when she meets and begins to fall in love with the very FBI agent who is investigating the murders she is committing.I adored Lana. She was delightfully viscous and twisted in getting her revenge.And Logan, the stand up FBI guy, falling in love with his dream woman.For Lana, Logan stopped her going completely over the edge, reminded her she was human.And for Logan, he begins to see that not everything he thinks is bad is necessarily bad.This entire series had me gripped and I devoured it. I loved Lana getting her revenge, I cheered her on. Yes it was graphic and bloody. But Lana was the hero not the villain all the way. There were parts that I loved, where she lets her "normal" persona slip a little, for example with Logan's ex. As the series goes on, she loses more and more of herself, finding it harder to hide her true self, or the true self she was forced to be, only Logan able to unknowingly bring her back. You dread Logan finding out, dread his reaction yet at the same time have the impossible hope Lana has that it will be ok.Just read this series. It is awesomeAnd this author better write something else for me!!!["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

    All the stars for this series. This amazing series had it all. True soul binding love, suspense, action, badass characters and a twisty plot that will leave you guessing. This author slowly throughout each book peeled back the layers of this complex storyline bit by bit with perfection. You want to go into this story blind and not read spoilers.I need to talk about Lana, the fmc of this story. This chick is so badass that I want to be her lol. She also has such a vulnerable side that makes her a complex and well rounded heroine. She does not back down from a situation, she fights. She loves with her whole heart. If you're part of her inner circle then you count yourself as lucky because she will stop at nothing to protect you.Logan is a special hero for sure. He loves Lana with a fierceness and is determined to be who she needs. He screws up at one point but I couldn't really blame him. He's someone else you want in your corner for sure.With an amazing cast of secondary characters, especially Jake and Hadley, this series will be a definite reread for me. This is a very vague review on purpose. I would not want to spoil anything about this story for anyone. It's pretty rare that I go into something blind like I did with this one and it definitely did not disappoint. Now I really want to know who this author is. She apparently also writes romcom and I want to read those too.

    The epic and explosive conclusion is here! Jesus. I need a drink or twenty. It's time to know all the secrets - to get all the pieces and although Lana is pretty fucked up, nothing compares to the town she came from and the actions that drove her to her madness. With all the truths out there, Logan and Lana's chance at a HEA might be over - or it might not. Okay - so this book, this series - buy it. Don't fucking question it, just get it and read it without stopping (like you will be able to help it). Lana is the perfect anti-heroine, her story makes you question where you'd draw your moral line - how far would go you? How much would you forgive or understand? And better yet, once you let your beast out to play - can you ever really contain it? I loved that throughout this entire story you were able to battle against the right vs. wrong thinking. You questioned what you'd do if you were refused justice. You wonder if the situation created the monster or if the monster existed all along. A gripping, graphic tale of revengence with a side of love. #ReadThisRightNow

    Okay so I figured I would rate all the books in the series then write a review on the last one! This book absolutely blew my mind. It's was thrilling, sexy and had me sitting on the edge of my seat. From the twist and turns to the actual killing I was never bored with this series! I loved everything about Logan, he was sexy, sweet and truly loved Lana. Now Lana, can we say girl crush. I mean seriously I loved her, total bad ass! The book is also safe with some steamy sex as well. Read this series, you will not be disappointed

    4.75 stars!What an amazing series this has been! Please take the warnings seriously since there are scenes that can be disturbing and this is a dark story!Pain it all Red just picks up from where it was left in All the lies. I have to confess that my heart was a bit broken after this ending but after a couple of chapters, I cheered up again. The plot is fantastic and well-thought. There is still mystery, twists, tension, suspense and action! Our secrets are relived and all answers are given. Ms. Abby makes an amazing job to trouble my moral compact with this series. Ms. Abby wrote a dark, twisted and intense revenge story that kept me captive the last days. I was reading in the nights until my eyes were closing and my e-reader was dropping off my hands.Lana finally comes clean to Logan. It's amazing to see how eveyrthing has been planned and its execution. Lana is at her best! She loves Logan enough to protect him, even from her. I totally love her for this. I haven't decided yet if I agree with her plan and actions but I know for sure that I wouldn't prevent her or judge her.Logan finally makes his choices. Now he knows everything that needs to be known and his choice is his alone. I really love him for being so honest to himself and to Lana! He doesn't make promises that he cannot keep and he prooves that his feelings for her were honest and true!Their interactions are amazing! Their connection is fantastic! To be honest, they totally make sense together and I loved how balanced was their intimate moments with the action of the story.The end of the book was brilliant! Incredible! I was shocked when everything came out! The epilogue gave me a huge smile because it made sense. It couldn't be in any other way.I definitely recommend this series to everyone who loves a dark, twisted, passionate, revenge story!

    5 Lana & Logan STARSWherever you go, go with all your heart. - ConfuciusI followed that Confucius quote above to an extreme, because I went with all my heart reading this amazing, twisted, addictive romantic thriller, and I have no regrets. It was just another great book and a perfect goodbye to this amazing series.I have no words to make this series justice though. I´ve thought about this review for days, and I normally just have most of it ready after I finish a book (and wing the other half when I´m posting it), but with this one I just felt like I needed time to let all my emotions chill a bit. What do you do when you find out you fell in love with a killer? What do you do when you give your heart to someone that holds your humanity, but doesn’t give you a chance to explain?"I bet you never thought you´d find yourself in love with a serial killer."Logan has found out the truth, or who he thinks is the real Lana. Having shared a bed with a killer and his heart to a woman he thought perfect, Logan finds himself feeling betrayed and hurt.Lana has been shattered, not by the truth but by Logan’s reaction to it. Heartbroken, she fears the best thing that happened in years is gone, along with her humanity.Lana and Logan have gone a long way together. Either if meeting each other was fate or a coincidence is questionable, falling in love inevitable, and now is up to them if they can move forward to a happy ending."The monster who comes is no worse than the monsters who deserve to die. Pick a side. Pick it now."And now, Delaney Grove has its time counted. Mayhem and terror has started all over town, haunted by the ones who didn’t get justice. The endgame has come for Lana, and she will see this town burned for its sins.The wicked can fake nobility, just as the damned can fake innocence. But only the truth will rise from the ashes when we all start to burn.I love the fact that through all the books there was the mystery about who the real killer from 10 years ago was. I tried to find clues everywhere to figure it out, but I felt something was missing and I just wanted to know who the hell the original killer was. I was shook when I found out who it was and props to the author to make it impossible to guess, and believe me, I tried."Real love? The kind Lana gave you? It´s the kind of love that looks beyond one´s offenses against others and only calls to the soul.Lana’s character has been gold. Seeing all this journey she went through for justice, it has been tough and captivating at the same time. She and Jake are the masterminds nobody expected, but everyone feared, because they made monsters pay and the truth came out.Logan is the best, though his reactions at the beginning weren´t the best, they were understandable. I love the fact he didn’t took Lana’s side entirely at first, he was struggling internally (dealing with this whole "is not black or white" issue), and even when he loved Lana and was gonna protect her at all costs, he still battled with everything he believed at this point about justice and revenge."You´re a suvivor too," I whisper. "And you make the world a better place. Don´t ever stop."Logan and Lana have stolen my heart. From the very first book I’ve been intrigued by them. They have been nothing but refreshing and well developed characters, complex as any human being and struggling with things as important as beliefs and our own humanity. They have brought to the table an intensity and uniqueness I´ve yet to meet in other fictional characters, and when they were together, there’s nothing more right and electric. Their layers have been crafted so perfectly, and I’m really going to miss them.Love is not supposed to be beautiful. It´s supposed to be a raw, gritty struggle that forces you to face the most vulnerable parts of yourself, so when the good times come, you can savor and enjoy them, fully appreciate what they´re worth. Otherwise, you take it all for granted. -Lana MyersI thought about giving this book 4.5 stars, because the ending wasn´t as great as the others, but at the end of the day, I really enjoyed this one, so 5 stars seems deserving.I don´t even know if I ever going to be able to give this series justice. It has been a hard and twisted, thrilling road; and a long way this characters have come too, especially Lana and Logan with heir smart minds, passionate hearts and sense of justice, because even a revenge killer can have all that. I’ve never read such a great psychological dark romance thriller before. It kept surprising me and intriguing me, I couldn´t get enough of this addictive story or put down the books. I definitely recommend this one to anyone who is interested in some dark story. I promise,this won´t let you down.**Also, I LOVED the teaser for the Nash Brothers (S. T. Abby´s new series!!!), that should come out this year. I got some serious great book vibes by that sneak peak. I´m looking forward more from this author, and I´m gonna bet this next series is gonna slay too.**

    I am talking about the whole series with this review. I must admit I am a bit shocked at myself. This series was srsly whacked. But after frustration after frustration in more shallow waters of conventional romancelandia, I loved this. The h totally kicked ass and I totally loved it. I am starting to worry a bit here, but sometimes a little psychopathic adventure romance is just what you need to keep your balance. This is not for the faint of heart, the things the characters do are really extreme, but it was highly entertaining and probably should only be read if you kinda like the dark side for a little variety.

    Wow.Wow.Wow. Bravo, dear author. Bravo. (claps hands & whistles) One of the best series I've ever read. "Doesn't matter what I am. Doesn't matter who I am. All that matters is that I finish my mission. Avenge my family. And burn this town to the ground. I don't need to feel love in order to be a monster. I just need to remember". LanaWhew, Lana girl - you're one dark angel but your story is worth a reread and another and another and another........

    Never has a series earned its title so effectively! Geez, it was one of the best - in maybe the worst way possible. I can't even believe or begin to explain how this level of grizzly, mindboggling, gory blood and guts storyline is now among the best and darkest romantic suspense I've read to date. After spending the weekend in the middle of murder and mayhem, my mind is completely wiped out from the frazzling pace of this stunner. And though it's hard to admit -- I loved every minute of it! Definitely won't be forgetting this ride anytime soon.S.T. Abby is an author I'm intent on keeping my eye on. I can't wait to read her next series. Hoping that a release date will soon be posted. Her writing is stellar. Her words will keep you mesmerized, chained to the chair, and just plain gasping for more. Finally with the end in sight, Logan is aware of the whole shebang - or at least he thought he was until he really wasn't. Yep, there's a major shocking twist that takes Logan to his knees hoping he can right a wrong with Lana before it's too late. And Lana and Jake's plans are going gangbusters. The town of Delaney Grove is in the path of a raging storm of wrath and destruction that no one expects or sees coming. I'm not giving any details -- you gotta read this one. It's terrificly terrorizing. And maybe - well most likely - a bit OTT. But done so well. Great work by an author with quite a powerful imagination.Logan Bennett is a super-fide hero in my opinion. Lana is - undescribable. Together they are a terrific pair. And the supporting cast is among the very best in the world of books. And lest we not forget that this story holds a whole other level that includes the romantic relationship that builds between the FBI agent and the female killer. It's perfectly plotted and amazingly paced. It's both heart-wrenching and heartwarming. These characters are defined and well-developed. I did feel throughout the book that there perhaps a bit more to Logan's earlier years, and I wished there had been a little peek provided into his childhood.And finally, just be forewarned -- the ending cuts to the quick. It is as wild and shocking as every page that came before. And the Epilogue is DIE-NA-MITE.

    S.T. Abby is a genius! The way she had plotted the whole story, the way all the little pieces fit together is just wow.Paint It All Red is the final book of the series, all the secrets are finally revealed, and the book kept surprising me till the very end. The epilogue itself left me stunned!This series is going on my all time favorites shelf!It was a fool-proof plan. I thought the worst thing I could do was go insane from the dark depths I had to reach. Turns out, falling in love was truly the worst. The darkness is just my twisted little friend.The writing is gorgeous, the plot is very dark and suspenseful, and the characters are amazing. Lana and her story will sure stay with me for a long time.

    Amazing conclusion to the series!I read it so many months ago I cannot remember all the specifics, but what I remember I loved was that Lana did not back down in her mission. She said she would do it and she did.Logan surprised me too. Cookie-cutter Logan truly made my heart beat faster in this one. The epilogue was a nice addendum, giving a good sense of closure and... peace. FinallyOverall, this series is twisted, incredibly gripping and the perfect mix between romance and suspense. Did I wish Lana had come out to Logan earlier? Yeah, I guess I did. But in the end everything worked out pretty good for the two of them so I cannot blame the author for dragging it a little bit more than I thought she would.Recommended? HIGHLY!

    Unfreakinbelievable! Mindf*ck is the perfect title for this series! Now that I've finished this story I am left feeling sad it's over and and at the same time relieved. I was riveted and so engrossed in the story I literally couldn't stop reading unless I had to go to work. Mindf*ck though told in 5 books was a fast-paced, hold your breath, lock your doors, action packed, romance, horror story and now I don't know what to do with myself. I don't know who S.T. Abby is but I won't think twice about one clicking any new books from this author! WOW!

    ~~~ 5 "dafuq" stars~~~What the hell am I gonna read after this???This entire Mindf*ck series isThe fact that I loved it so much made me question what's wrong with meThis story is so cleverly written, packed with mystery, suspense and full-on action. Great romantic development with no cheating or love triangle. The characters are layered, well developed and when you should have hated them the most, you just loved them even more. The title is very accurate. This story will fuck with your mind. You'll question your morality. What's right, what's wrong? It's upside down. Who are these people?This series is bloody, graphic and disturbing with lots of triggers. Not for the faint-hearted. Only for the people who need to feed the darkest corner of their souls.Need to read more by this author!!!
    This series for me has progressively improved.Here is a quick look into my ratings:1st: 2.5 stars2nd: 2 stars3rd: 2 stars4th: 3 stars5th: It achieved 4 stars! Length:The books are well paced, and there's an almost short staccato rhythm which makes them easy to read. They are no more than 500 iBook pages. My feelings towards the couple:For the most part of the series I felt dissatisfied. The reason for this was although packed with action, and suspense filled, it lacked heart. Weaved in with a revenge tale, the romantic connection was deficient at worst, and lost at best. I could almost feel it rising to the surface, but it never emerged. It never erupted like it does with other couples. Lana would say why and how she fell in love with Logan yet I never once understood the justification. Who is he really? We never delve into them because we are so focussed on her killings. We know that Logan is loyal, smart and caring, but she hasn't spent a fraction of amount of time with him as we have as readers. It was limited. I couldn't see a reality where she was truly in love with him and where that was effectively projected on to the audience. There wasn't substance in between them and it left me wanting something to grab on to something tangible. There was a very 50% vibe. Thankfully, the negatives were negated! Logan wasn't all consuming for me. I didn't want him to be the man of the show, but I wanted him to be the man of her show. She loved too much, and he loved just enough. He under performed. I almost wished he joined her on her crusade. And finally he did. It was late into the series. But I think as the novel drew to a close, I could believe he finally felt a fraction of what she felt. They became very well-balanced. My feelings towards the plot:I was waiting for an infamous plot twist which never came. An unreliable point of view. Something which distorted everything. I was expecting, but nothing came of it. That's because things were exactly portrayed as they were written. Not that that's a bad thing, but with a suspense novel as such, I obviously misled myself. And at one point, when I did believe there was going to be a plot twist - had it happened, I would have been damned pissed off. During the third book my plot twist inkling was that if Victoria survived, Marcus could have too?But then I thought, nah. Surviving castration, rape and a fatal beating? Even the author wouldn't do that right? Not onlywould render the whole plot anti-climactic and would derail her plans for revenge. But there would be a kaffuffle love triangle - between Handley and Markus (like a choice would exist!) Boy am I glad Abby didn't decide take that route. Lastly, the FBI constitutes of the most deadly, and smart people. These men and women spend their entire careers building, amalgamating, expanding, and learning. It seemed like a one-man show run by Logan. And some of their actions seemed slightly improbable and lacking logic, I have to admit. Though we are in Lana's head, there was just blatant signals and queues they missed, sonot that smart right?Even though I sound negative for the most past of my review, they were my feelings. It was a worth while read in the end. It's morbid, but it was the funniest part of the book for me was the Goldilocks reference:“Thank you,” she murmurs as I hand her the knife.She clutches it as her body shudders with the impending high. Too much steals her soul. Too little could cause her to lash out from denying what she had to become.But once a year? That’s just right.”
    Loved this series. No joke, stayed up to 3am reading through part four and then saying "screw sleep, who needs it? I NEED to know how this all ends!!!" My blood shot eyes are a testament to my crazy obsessive behavior when it comes to Logan and Lana. I don't recommend pulling an all nighter like this when you have work in the morning but anywhooo....The characters were hands down amazing. I five starred the OTP couple, Lana and Logan but also the supporting characters, Jake, Hadley, Leonard, even Lindy and Laurel. The story was captivating, emotionally strong and surprisingly, hopeful. I say surprising because this series does not hold back when it comes to the dark and nitty gritty life of a revenge killer. It brings front and center some horrible (fictional *thank god*) evil men who deserve a brand of justice in their own class and an avenging angel with just enough of the devil in her to dual it out. There is a sad oppressive, almost foregone conclusion that this is not going to end well for either MC throughout the story, but rest easy, all it not lost! This definitely had an anti-hero vibe going on right from the start and like many characters, your empathy and twisted understanding of Lana's actions have you picking sides early on. The author did an awesome job of portraying Lana in both a good and bad light. Giving you just enough to keep you wondering and hoping, and keeping your fingers crossed all goes according to plan. It makes you question your own what-if scenarios. To quote Hadley, "Maybe I'm a sick mother-fucker but I'm on her side."Favorite Line: "Funny thing about death - someone has to do a damn good job of killing a girl like me. So far, everyone has sucked at that task."Super highly recommend this if you can stomach really descriptive scenes that can be triggers for some readers. (view spoiler)[ Triggers include: descriptive murder, torture, psychological abuse, terror tactics, emotional and physical of a child, death of parent/sibling, rape and a boat load of blood and gore.
