Overall this series was wholesome. It had a little bit of everything. Angst, humor (though most of the time morbid) suspense, mystery ugh everything good! I loved it! It sure will have you questioning your morals lol

1st read - March 20172nd read - May 2017 (second review additions in parentheses)This box set is not yet available as I write this review, however I felt this series needed to be reviewed as a whole and not just the individual chapters..... so here it goes. (The box set is still not available, but I took the time to review each book individually on Goodreads this time around)This is a whole new type of book for me. STAbby mentions at the beginning of each book that she knows this shit is fucked up and not to bother writing ro tell her she's twisted in the head. Honestly, I didn't think it was that F'd up til the end, but boy did I enjoy the ride. A few pages I to the last book I had an epiphany.... Someone should have used THIS story for the second season of "True Detective" instead of that crap they did. To me this was as mind taunting and scary, in the way that some people are just Evil, as the first series. This book would make a great TV mini series! (I still think it would make a great miniseries)Anyway......If you want to know what the book is about read the blurb..... The first book in this series was free and it sucked me in.There is some crazy sh*t in this book. And be sure to heed her warnings in the 3rd or 4th book about the content. There are some graphic rape flashbacks that are not for the faint of heart. The killing scenes are awesome too - hum, maybe there is something wrong with me.Loved how STAbby ended this! Nope not going to spoil it, just going to say that I was totally expecting most of it, but then wham..... totally not! Great ending! I'm not sure how I stumbled upon this book or how to even find more like it, but I'm hooked. (I seriously can't figure out how I found rhis series..... I would like more like it please. I just don't think there is anything like it)One problem... the authors Facebook site seems unmanned, and the new series was due out 2 months ago and it seems like there's nothing about it anywhere. (Still very few updates and the new series is not yet out. I would love to know her other pen name and read her "normal" romance.)

This is one of the best series I ever read. Lana is a character, I always wanted in my books. So, it's like a dream come true. She's dark and twisted, but also vulnerable and tender. I love, that she don't have normal morals. Love when time comes to take revenge, Lana don't hesitate to deliver punishment. She isn't tormented after by what she needed to do. Actually, she feels better. "They taunts no longer haunt me at night. Now I dream peacefully to the sounds of their screams."Lana is smart and I love her mind-fuckery. I love how she plays all those people, that wronged her, to put it mildly. It was so brilliant. With each book, more and more is revealed what happened 10 years ago. And with each moments from the past, you release they deserve everything is coming to theirs doorstep. Logan was someone, that Lana needed in her life. Someone to bring light in her life. To make her smile again. To feel whole again. To release, that she wasn’t broken. But because of what his work is, their relationship is complicated. Lana releases that theirs time together is limited. "We're doomed anyway. The monster never gets the prince. It's always the sweet and innocent princess who wins."Logan was sweet, smart, loyal and protective, even though it was a little funny, because Lana couldl protect herself much better then anyone. I have to say, Logan was winning my heart through the books. Until the moment to learn the true came. I understood, his feelings, but the way he acted towards Lana... Let just say I felt stabby.I could talk more and more. This series is really extraordinary. You will live through all kaleidoscope of emotions. From laughing darkly to unable to stop crying, because you feel like your soul was torn apart. If you love dark romances, you need to add this to your TBR list. Scratch that. You need to read it like yesterday. Just be warned. Mindfuck series will ruin you. For a while no book will be able to satisfy obsessive reader in you.

Read all these books in less than a week. As soon as I had finished one I needed to start the next. Absolutely brilliant series and one I am so glad I read having had this recommended to me by a friend. It's a crime/love/gore/horror all rolled in one. There is even some dry humour as well which makes it a brilliant bilked combined.

I love this series! Prepare to plot your own vengeance as Lana exacts hers on those that ruined her childhood.

This is possibly the best series I have read this year. I was GRIPPED. Loved the characters and the plot itself is one of the best I have actually had the pleasure of reading. It was so good. So Dexter. I found myself more interested in uncovering the mystery than the romance. Logan is a SSA Agent, which means he investigates serial killers in short. Lana happens to be a serial killer. They meet in a coffee shop and hit it off and it is clear from the beginning that they are just made for each other and they are worthy of each other in the best way. You really get to see their feelings and attachment develop in spite of the little time they get together and Lana and Jake, her sidekick, are both straight up geniuses. You can't begrudge any of their actions in this, or at least I couldn't. It honestly shocked me how much I enjoyed the killing scenes, the dark brutality in this book made it what it is. Revenge is oh so sweet sometimes.I think it will be a while before I pick up a book that measures up to this series. I don't think I have read anything so fast since I read the Ruthless Series by J J McAvoy. Recommendations please. Also: read it. Trust me. You will love it. There are hard parts, like actually learning the incidents that caused this reckoning to happen, but there are so many amazing parts. Weirdly, this reminds me of Riverdale a little (the TV show) with the sleepy, nobody town and all of a sudden there's this Black Hood killing everybody but of course Mindfuck is a lot more serious and much better written.

So, I loved this book series. The two leads are entirely charming, which considering the material should be hard to pull off. It's a very satisfying revenge story, watching Lana take people out is a cathartic delight (yes, I have my twisted moments). And the twists and turns were well doled out while not going off the rails. I had my suspicion about who the original killer was, and was right, but I wasn't SURE. Anyway, if ultra violence doesn't turn you off, definitely read this "horror-romance" novella series pronto. I look forward to more from ST Abby.

Well bloody hell..... I picked up book one hoping it would get me out of a book slump and now I’ve spent the last 48 hours devouring the whole series.....I don’t honestly know how I will beat this???? I will give nothing away other then to say......READ THE BOOK......but I warn you.....this isn’t a fairytale, there really are no princesses although it’s full of monster, however in this series I guarantee you’ll want the monster to win!!! “This is for the ones who fight every single day to forget. You’re not alone.” ♥️

I seldom read RS, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one, even though it was pretty dark/twisted. S.T. Abby can write, very well, enough to keep my interest through 5 good sized novellas [I don't think any were under 100 pages, the last was over 200 pages so really a book IMO.I will definitely be reading this author again. Strongly recommended for those who do enjoy Romantic Suspense, and/or darker books.

I was hooked from the start. You know a series is good when you rush to finish everything just so you could continue reading. Thoroughly enjoyed this series, especially because it kept me guessing till the end. I was glad too, that it wasn't very predictable. Again, great series. It really was a total Mindf*ck..👏👏👏
