ARC provided by author in exchange for honest reviewShoot For The Moon was another amazing read from Rochelle Paige. I’m seriously hooked with the Black River Pack Series and can’t get enough of these Tate brothers. Though this book is short, Rochelle has managed to incorporate a story that will have you addicted to these characters. You will want to know who Hunter, Grace, Parker, Spencer and Eliza are. What I truly love about this series that I find addicting is the balance that Rochelle has done with the series. Ms. Paige did an exceptional job incorporating romance, drama, steam and a bit of angst to this series. One thing I love is that she always treats her readers with a hot alpha male. So if you are looking for a book that will have you begging for more of the Tate brothers, then look no further because Rochelle Paige did an amazing job with Shoot for the Moon. Hot alpha male hero...Check! Romance...Check! Lots of steam and chemistry...BIG FAT CHECK!!! And a story that will keep you entertained and captivated….CHECK CHECK CHECK!!! So go on and read Shoot for the Moon because Ms. Paige will not disappoint you. As for the epilogue, I seriously can't wait for Parker's story and to find out who his mate is. Hopefully Rochelle Paige won't make us wait long for the next installment. Review can also be found on Four Chicks Flipping Pages: http://fourchicksflippingpages.weebly...Rochelle Paige

This one was just OK.. I liked the first one more and the mild bit of angst we got that the blurb hints at was hardly anything at all and just lasted a few pages.. If the book had been longer, if Eliza and Spencer had not already been sleeping together for a year when this book started, I think it would have been better. We did meet them in book 1 and knew they had already been sleeping together.. but when we met them in book one.. like this one.. they had already been sleeping together for a year.. so it lacked the excitement of reading a couple get together for the first time..

Rating: 2 StarsI didn't really enjoy this one as much as I wanted to. Even knowing that Spencer pulled a pretty dick move with Eliza (he convinces himself that Eliza can't possibly be his fated mate - because she doesn't "walk in dreams" like his grandmother predicted - and belittles their relationship by keeping it strictly sexual) I'd hoped the story would go in a different direction. After seeing Hunter and how sweet he was with Grace, I thought Spencer would go all out with Eliza to prove his love for her once it comes out that she can actually walk in dreams. I wanted to see Eliza grow a pair of lady balls and make Spencer work for her forgiveness. I mean she has known from day one that Spencer was her mate and she falls in love with the guy only to have him fight their mutual attraction and only give in when he straight up tells her she can only hope to be a convenient booty call because he is waiting for his real other half. I don't really care that he technically throws her over for herself (even if he didn't know it at the time) it was still a stinging slap in the face that deserved some decent groveling from the H. And that's where this one fell short for me. Going in with eyes wide open to a character's flaws leaves me expecting some major changes and Spencer never really followed through. Likewise with Eliza, I wanted her to fight back a little bit and not give in so easily. Her acceptance of Spencer's treatment of her was a bit doormat h behavior. Two stars for the still hot chemistry between the MCs and because I still found myself enjoying the tight knit Black River Pack and I'm intrigued by Patrick and his fated mate.SAFETY(view spoiler)[Ages: Wasn't disclosed but I'd guess Eliza and Spencer are the same age and in their mid to late 20's. (Neither are virgin)Cheating:None.OM/OW drama: Yes to the OW drama. An ex of Spencer's shows up, makes a very public scene and tries to cast doubt on their relationship. It doesn't last and it felt a bit awkward. Like it was thrown in last minute to explain Eliza's dreams but something about the whole thing ended up feeling really off.Separation:None. Not even after Spencer finally realizes that Eliza is really his mate. I wouldn't have hated a small separation just so Eliza could forgive his shitty treatment of her and maybe see Spencer grovel a little to get his girl back.Push/PullSpencer originally is the one that keeps an emotional distance from Eliza because he thinks she isn't his mate and it basically just biding his time until his real mate shows up. When he finds out Eliza is actually his, he does a complete 180 on his previous mind set and sets out to convince Eliza that he really has had feelings for her the whole time.Main Pursuer of relationship: Again, the main pursuer is Spencer. Eliza pretty much takes whatever Spencer offers her, whether it's good or not. She is a very insecure MC and I wanted to see more growth from her. She had potential...Triggers: mild OW drama, miscommunication, forced angst, premonitions, instant lust/love, anal sex and lacking in grovel scenes from the jerk H.HEA/HFN:Ends on a HEA with a wedding and a six month epilogue that leads to the next book in the series about the youngest Tate brother.(hide spoiler)]

Review by Natasha GentileSo as you all know this was my first wolf trilogy, I fell hook, line and howl.We first meet Eliza in Crying Wolf, we also found out about her gift. A gift that she held close to her heart. Eliza Reve is a dream walker.I’d learned to hide parts of myself from others-my mother had taught me well. The lesson was deeply ingrained from an early age that others wouldn’t understand the gift I’d been given. My grandmother had been ridiculed and ostracized when her pack had found out about her ability to walk in dreams. She thinks her gift is a curse, when she isn’t able to save her mother or the alpha's son, finding herself exiled from the pack. She promised herself to never allow anyone to know her gift. Then, one day, I wandered into Wolf’s Point. I didn’t mean to stay. It was only suppose to be another stopping place. But then I saw Spencer, and as much as my head told me to leave before anything happened between us, my heart and my wolf insisted I stay.Spencer Tate is the enforcer of the his wolf tribe. He is also kind of a wolf whore, or he was till his grandmother sat him down and told him his mate is coming, and she is a dream walker. When he first sets his eyes on Eliza he feels a pull, but he knows she isn’t his mate. He just can’t walk away from her, so he purposes that they have a no-strings-attached affair till his mate comes to town. This is everything a girl wants to hear. I want to bang you till my one true love comes. Awww be still my heart…Just one problem she knows that he is her mate. She’s seen him for years, but it always ends the same way, in heartbreak.I recognized him right away- the mate of my dreams. I’d dreamed of him for years, even before my mothers death. You’d think this would have been a wonderful thing, and the start of these dreams certainly was-right up until they always turn into a nightmare. It was horrifying to watch my mate as his face darkened with anger, his wolf glared from his eyes, and his lips twisted into a snarl, and then sorrow would crash over me in waves as he told me that I would never be his mate, I wasn’t worthy of him, and even though I’d shared his bed before, I never would again.Eliza had my heart breaking, I felt every single time her heart broke. Oh Spencer, so blinded by lust, but when she finally lets slip that she is a dream walker, well his ass is grass.“I get that you’re probably mad at me because I chose not to share my dream about Grace with you, but you need to understand one thing right now. It was my choice. Just because you’re the guy in my life giving me orgasms for now doesn’t mean you own me”Her words, which had so quickly followed my realization she was my fated mate, made me see red. I pressed against her until her back was against the front door, leaving no room for her to get away.So now that Spencer has finally come to his senses, and realizes that the woman who has been sharing his bed for the last year is his mate, he is ready to seal the deal. Just one little problem, actually a big one, Eliza, you see this she wolf is not letting him off so easily, nope, he is going to bring out the big guns for this one.I took a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves, and her scent filled my lungs. It was the same scent that had been driving me wild for years. And if I had been paying attention, I would have realized that her scent called to me like none other because she was my mate.Ok Spencer it’s on, time to man up and make her your. It’s not going to be easy, but the reward is so much better once you know that you know that you can’t live without her, and you will fight fang and paw to get her. The reward will make you howl at the moon. I can’t wait for more.

Eliza and Spencer, both wolves but she has been hiding her ability to see the future. This story can be a standalone because even though it starts in the previous book, it all gets rehashed here.Spencer, for his own short sighted reasons, decided early on that Eliza was just a booty call. But in the 2 years they have been 'seeing' eachother, he hasn't been with anyone else. Before Eliza, he was changing his ways from a manho to awaiting his mate. Eliza has been through hell from her previous pack and is afraid to trust. So evem though she knows Spencer is her mate, she doesn't tell him and just accepts what he ' s willing to offer.Sounds like an angsty read, but it wasn't.There's a villain but most of the story is Eliza and Spencer coming to terms with being mates. Spencer, now that he's pullled his head out of his arse, is very supportive. They communicate and share their fears.I enjoyed it more than the first book.Part of me wishes we'd gotten a glimps of the beginning of their relationship or just a part of it before Spencer learns the truth. But maybe that would have madebit harder to forgive him. -shrug-safety is pretty good but there's Eliza's vision hanging over them like the sword of damacles. (view spoiler)[ one of Spencers F buddies from before Eliza tries to make trouble but her tells her in no uncertain terms what she doesn't mean to him. Don't fret about the vision. It's all good of course.(hide spoiler)]

As soon as I saw that Rochelle Paige was writing this paranormal book I was like "OMG! I HAVE to read this!" and let me tell you that she did not disappoint! Shoot for the Moon was exactly the kind of paranormal read I needed right now. I knew it would be filled with heat, passion, and an extremely hot, possessive alpha male. I was not wrong and I absolutely loved it!!Ever since Eliza was a little girl, she has been able to predict the future in her dreams and the one time she didn't hide her ability from her pack, she was exiled for it. She travels for awhile, settles into a new town and eventually into a new pack where her future mate happens to the the enforcer. Eliza has been dreaming of Spencer for years and loves him more than anything, but her dreams and the man himself don't allow for a mating to happen right away. They have to go on a journey of love, trust, and acceptance before the claiming can take place. I. Loved. Spencer! He's so hot and strong and dominant. He realizes what an a*shat he was for ignoring that Eliza was his mate and treating her like she was just someone to keep him occupied until his rightful mate came along. The human side of him eventually recognizes what his wolf already has: that Eliza is, in fact, his mate. As soon as that happens, he's determined to mate her, mark her, and claim her. While Spencer was all growly and possessive, he could be so incredibly sweet and he melted my heart. He was just such an awesome hero!! Shoot for the Moon might be a very fast, short read and while it's mostly easy and I knew they were going to get their HEA, I still ached and worried about Eliza's dream coming true. I laughed and smiled a lot though. I just very much enjoyed and loved this book!! I also can't wait to read Parker's story, I absolutely ADORED him! Shoot for the Moon is a standalone told from both the H/h's point of view and they do get their HEA. ~ Paige, 5 stars

Shoot for the Moon is an interesting saying and the perfect title for Spencer and Eliza’s story, book 2 of Rochelle Paige’s Black River Pack series. It takes a lot of courage and drive for people to put themselves out there and no holds barred go for what they want and what they deserve. It’s not an easy feat because there will undoubtedly be obstacles in the way, whether initiated by them themselves or others around them. Rejection is always possible and being let down is something that can always happen when sights are set a certain way, and there is a unwillingness to back down for anything less.Eliza wants love and respect – she wants a mate who will stand by her and not judge her. She’s felt and been an outcast for much of her life due to her dreaming abilities, and she’s led a lonely life as a lone wolf. She knows Spencer’s her mate, but she refuses to acknowledge that knowing that he only sees her as someone to warm his bed at night.Spencer’s always known that his mate is a woman who walks in dreams. Because he’s known his fate for some time, he becomes oblivious to the signs indicating that Eliza, the woman he feels an extraordinarily strong pull towards, could be the one he’s been searching for. He makes incredibly stupid mistakes when it comes to her and wastes a full year of their time together that could be spent solidifying their bonds as mates. But don’t worry, ladies, Spencer more than makes up for time lost and does everything that he can to claim his mate and show Eliza that he may have messed up, but he’s fully invested now, and he won’t stop until he has everything that he wants.Spencer and Eliza shot for the moon, and they actually achieved the outcome that they wanted. It definitely wasn’t easy to do, and they got in their own ways a lot of the time, but they both realized that anything worth having is worth fighting tooth and nail for and that is exactly what they did. It might have taken them a lot longer than it probably should have to take their fated places in each other’s lives, but Spencer and Eliza will not be taking each other for granted any longer, which is all anyone wants in a mate.Rochelle Paige added another hot and angsty text to her paranormal series. Spencer is just as alpha as Hunter, and I love the fact that he owns up to his stupidity and proves to Eliza that he’s in it with her until the end. The concept of book 2 is quite different from Hunter and Grace’s story, which is exactly what I look for in a series. I love the fact that readers still get to hang out with their friends from previous books and get a fresh story that keeps the series thriving and that is exactly what Rochelle has done.Bring on Parker’s story!4.5 poison apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)

view - Shoot for the Moon by Rochelle Paige - 4 In The Dog House StarsShoot For the Moon follows on from the first book in the Black River Pack Crying Wolf, so at the beginning of the book we already know a couple of things:a) Eliza is Spencer’s true mateb) Spencer has been an ass for the past twelve months telling Eliza that all they could ever share was a bedNot the easiest place to claw your way back from then. Spencer may as well get himself a kennel he’s so far in the doghouse. In his defence, Spencer has always been following his grandma’s prophesy that his mate will walk in dreams and to this point he’s had no reason to believe that this is Eliza. Not until a premonition about Grace being in danger draws Eliza out of hiding and into the open. Now he knows though, he’s got his work cut out for him in proving to Eliza that he believes and is all in, especially when Eliza keeps having a dream where he denounces her in front of the pack.I felt sorry for Eliza - she’d had to deal with so much within her previous life, then she found her mate and he basically told her she wasn’t good enough, there was little wonder it took her a while to soften to the idea. This was an entertaining little jaunt in terms of watching the interaction between the two of them. I enjoyed watching Spencer have to work for it. Not the sex, because they had always had that between the two of them but the bonding and claiming to tie the two together soul deep.As always it was a hot and heavy little number, and thankfully not quite as sweet as book 1 (or I’m acclimatizing to it as I read them! ;))If you love your Alpha’s all hot, possessive and a little bit feral, then get a bit of Spencer in your…..life.

I really enjoyed this one! And that ending...OMG...I can't wait for book 3! 3.5 stars So if you have read the first book then you know what happened between Eliza and Spencer. The book picks up right where it left off. Spencer just might have to fight to win Eliza over…Spencer… Sigh. Okay so he made some not so good choices, but I still liked him.I will say that I did enjoy the book. I thought it was wicked to have Eliza walk in dreams. I have read a few books on about werewolves. Most of the stories had their own take on wolves. I also like how close the brothers are. Yes, usually brothers are close but sometimes that really isn’t the case. So unlike the other book, this really didn’t have a major plot twist. But for whatever reason I was actually ok with that. I also like that Eliza and Grace became so close. Especially after the life both of them have had. So what I did not like about the book. Well in Werewolves book I always got the assumption that they know as soon as they meet their mates. But my only problem was spencer not knowing that Eliza was his mate. That’s the only thing I really had a problem with.I did enjoy it. I mean I have never hated a book by Rochelle yet and I hope to keep it that way. You should defiantly read book one first. And I would not recommend these to anyone under 18. In true Rochelle fashion, they might have some really hot scenes. So the ending of this book really make me want the final book in the series.

4.5 "She Was RIGHT There The Whole Damn Time" StarsLong name...but great results! Full Review with Tour from T and I at http://www.twounrulygirls.com loving this series!! Review TimeThis book is different in the sense that you know they are mates...finding out during book one, there is no doubt that these two are bound to be...but the road to get there? It's paved with hot bodied sex, possessiveness, alpha instincts that make all us ladies squeeze our thighs and thank the heavens above for the written word done right.Loving this series has been easy for me, Ms. Paige has nailed the short, yet still able to connect with characters stories that have me anxiously awaiting the next installment. This is not an easy task...shorter isn't always better (or is it ever??) You get the connection, background, and feelings from each character without being bogged down with too many details...just enough to keep you right in the "know".Spencer and Eliza were meant to be, but sometimes when you are closed to the idea you can't see what is right in front of your DAMN face...sigh...Spencer! He more than makes up for it, and proves what we all knew from the start, these two were inevitable! Can't wait for book 3!http://www.facebook.com/twounrulygirls

I love shifters and I love me some short books. Sometimes just the ease of a no drama story with a hot wolfy guy is the only thing you need when you are in a book slump. Something to get the mojo flowing and get back to the swing of reading and Rochelle sure does nail it in Spencer’s book. He is all mine, you’re my mate and dammit we are mating. YUM. Spencer has been waiting for his mate the way most men do- playing the field and leaving heartbreak in the wake. When Eliza comes to town seeking solidarity what she finds is a family. Being alone most of her life she is hesitant to accept the pact life. Enter Spencer who is too focused on his grandmothers vision that he wouldn’t know his mate if she played tickle the pickle on his dickle- which she was. Spencer had some tough shoes to fill coming after Hunter. I couldn’t wait to find out how Spencer was going to make up for not knowing his mate was right in front of him- hell, even in his damn bed. I hoped like hell Eliza would make him work his ass off to make amends. If I had a complaint about these books I think it would be- I want more.

This is the second book in the Black River Pack series. Eliza Reve has the ability to see the future in her dreams, she is also a wolf shifter. Her Mother always told her it was a curse and to keep it a secret not even telling her own Father about it. Telling the Alpha of the pack she used to belong to about a vision she had caused her to be kicked out of the pack and shunned by everyone she knows. When she gets to Black River she is determined to live in the woods and keep to herself and definitely not share her ability with anyone. Spencer Tate is the Sheriff of Black River and also Beta (second in command) of their pack. His Grandma told him his mate would walk in dreams, meaning she would see visions of the future. For a year Spencer has casual sex with Eliza always being clear that he doesn't want a relationship. He has no clue that she is his mate because he's unaware of her gift and even though he's always had a strong pull towards her he kept brushing it off. Now that he's got his head out of his ass he has to figure out how to make things right between them.

Rochelle Paige has another winner with Shoot for the Moon, the second book in her Black River Pack Series. Although it is the second in the series it can be read alone but I recommend reading the first one as well because it’s AMAZING and it helps to set up the second book. In this book we follow Eliza, who sees visions in her dreams, and Spencer, the beta of the pack. They have to work themselves through a series of misunderstandings to determine whether the fated mates can be together.Eliza was admirable, and you couldn’t help but cheer her. She’d been ridiculed and cast out from her old pack, and had every reason to guard her heart against Spencer. I can’t say enough good things about Spencer. Although he let an old prophecy close himself off to his true mate he quickly recovers, and I loved the way this alpha went after his woman and wouldn’t let her take no for an answer. I loved this book, and can’t wait for the next one!

SNS Rating: 5.0~~~~~~~~~~Julie M's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~I received this ARC for a honest review. Having read the first book, I was excited to continue this series. Eliza is a dream walker and she feels as if she is always the bearer of bad news. Shunned by her previous pack, she ends up in Wolf's Point. She tries t stay out the way. The alpha of the local pack, takes her in and makes her feel welcome. Spencer is second to the Alpha and the enforcer of the pack. He takes an interest in Eliza almost immediately but only wants a physical relationship with her. When the two realize that they are mates, Eliza is hesitant to accept his mark..Can she trust him and tear down her walls? This book was delicious from the beginning and the ending was well....Absolutely perfect.5 huge stars!!~~~~~~~~~~Sarah's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~Rochelle Paige did it again!!I absolutely loved book 1 in this series. That being said you should definitely read Crying Wolf first as Spencer and Eliza's story begins there. They were secondary characters in the first book but I was so happy when Rochelle Paige made book two their story. Spencer has been programmed since birth to look for his fated mate. As a werewolf he knows that he will find her there will be no doubt in his mind when he does. He meets Eliza and is immediately drawn to her but because she doesn't meet his criteria (at least so he thinks) he dismisses her as a potential mate and begins a friends with benefits type situation. Eliza has a dark past with her previous pack and because of this keeps to herself when joining Spencer's pack. She hides a lot of herself from the pack and Spencer despite their year long relationship. It's only when she is forced to come clean that the truth comes out they Spencer is her mate.I loved a good alpha male and Rochelle Paige sure knows how to write them. When Spencer realizes Eliza is his mate he wastes no time in mating her. Now the trick is he has to wait for Eliza to accept his mark. And he doesn't make waiting easy on her. This story was hot hot hot! Spencer is a dirty talker and he talks a lot! Eliza had no idea what she was in for when she met him! It was also nice to check in with Hunter and Grace from book 1 and see their HEA continue on. I'm hoping that Parker (Spencer and Hunter's younger brother) has his story next! Over all this book and this series are amazing! You would never guess this was Rochelle Paige's first attempt at paranormal. I cannot wait to continue reading the series and see where it goes! ~~~~~~~~~~Michelle's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~I am so in love with this series…….Eliza & Spencer are my new favs. Eliza is a loner by choice due to certain circumstances and Spencer doesn’t realize his mate is right in front of him. I really enjoyed their story – this book had all fundamentals of a remarkable read…. torment, anticipation, and HOT, Alpha…fog up your screens…sex. Paige does an outstanding job in creating characters you fall in love with. This book as a natural flow to it as if you watching your favorite movie. Her writing is phenomenal – it pulls you in and doesn’t let go until the very end. Again…..I really wish the book was longer but that is my selfish reasons because I love this series sooooo much. Can’t wait for the next story…. Well done Rochelle Paige……I am forever a fan!~~~~~~~~~~Sara's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~I was given an ARC for my honest review.Yes Rochelle has made me a fan once again. I absolutely loved Crying wolf and I loved Shoot for the Moon even more. This book is about Eliza and Spencer. They are first introduced in Crying Wolf. These books should be read I order. This book as well kept me captivated. Rochelle writes so well that it is hard to put the book down. I recommend everybody read this. You don't know what you are missing.

:::REVIEW IS ALSO ON FOUR CHICKS FLIPPING PAGES:::http://fourchicksflippingpages.weebly... ★★★★★5-PANTY MELTING STARS★★★★★ *Copy provided by the author in exhanged for an honest review*Loved the first book CRYING WOLF and the second as well. If you love paranormal romance then you should read this book. It was short smoking hot read, that I devoured in one sitting. Extra panties regard. Be prepared to howl and scream Spencer's name while reading this. Eliza Reve has an ability to see the future in her dreams. It kills her to see what the future brings and to not be able to talk to anyone about it. Knowing they might think of her missing a few screws in the head and calling her crazy. She moved to a town where no one knew her. There she ends up working for the one and only bar, who happens to be owned by the hottest Alpha-Male she's ever known. But, set the feelings aside, she accepts the no strings attached with Spencer. Spending so much intimate time in each others arms for a year, turns it into something more she isn't ready for. The dream she's been having about Spencer is stopping her from taking the chance at real love. The nightmares scare her to give in to the man who pours his heart out to her. Spencer Tate knew Eliza was someone special. He knew she was his mate, but was in denial, so instead he commits to a no strings attached agreement. And by doing just that, he regrets it as soon as someone knocked some sense into him. BUT when that time came, it back fired on him. Now, he must work harder to convince Eliza that he truly loves her. He regrets the time he wasted not professing his love. He is patient though, and want nothing but clarity on Eliza's end. He will do anything just to keep her safe and will fight for the love that will only come once in their lifetime. Eliza and Spencer embark a new beginning, it becomes even more complicated when one of the women he slept with claims that Eliza isn't his mate. All it takes is fighting for her and seeing the love he truly feels for Eliza right in front of her, changes everything. BUT will the nightmare stops? The nightmares that intervene with her chance to be happy, finally? Being exiled from her family was horrible, she seeks love and acceptance from someone and Spencer is the man of her dreams. Will Eliza and Spencer be able to move forward with the mating? Will Eliza accept Spencer by marking her as his mate? Only one way to find out and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. This is something I'd love to read more than once. I can't wait for what you will be writing about Parker, Rochelle!

"Say yes, Let me have you, Eliza. Stop drinking yourself to sleep. Let me fuck you into exhaustion instead."Shoot For The Moon is book two in Rochelle Paige's Black River Wolf Series. I am decently new to the whole world of paranormal romances but I am really enjoying these fast and sexy reads. I am a HUGE fan of alpha male books and I am finding that wolves are some very sexy alphas. While each of the books in this are short they still pack a punch bringing drama, love and lots of pure steam!"Fine, Take some time, but you won't spend it apart from me. You might not be ready to move forward with me, but I sure as hell am not going to move us backwards. You'll do your thinking in the day and spend your nights with me."Shoot For The Moon is Spencer and Eliza's story and it is very different than other wolf romances simply because Spencer and Eliza were sleeping together long before he realized that she was his mate. Spencer's grandmother had visions and she told him that his mate would "walk in dreams" meaning she could tell the future in her dreams. So, when Spencer meets Eliza he is very much drawn to her but is convinced she is not his mate because she does not posses this ability. He decides to start a purely physical relationship with her but lets her know that he is still looking for his mate. Eliza knows that Spencer is the one for her and even though she wants all of him she will take what she can get. What she doesn't tell Spencer is that she had to leave her old tribe because they didn't like her ability to tell the future through her dreams. YES! She hides this from him because she thinks it will scare him away."Need you," "You have me, I'm yours, Spencer." "Mine,"After casting aside the thought that she could be his mate to her Spencer has to find a way to get Eliza to trust him so that he can claim her as his! I loved watching Spencer try to win over Eliza. You could tell he wanted nothing more than to throw her down and claim her but after hurting her so bad he has to go slow and be careful. This is clearly not the way of an alpha male and it was a lot of fun seeing him try to reel it all in. Overall, I am loving this series and can't wait for more!~miranda

3.5 I would suggest reading Crying Wolf (Black River Pack #1) before you read Shoot for the Moon. It introduces you to Spencer and Eliza but also gives you the back story for where 'Moon' begins. It backs up to a moment in 'Crying' when Hunter and Spencer go to Eliza to question her about an incident involving Hunter's mate; where 'Moon' starts gives you the alternate POVs of Spencer and Eliza instead of Hunter at that moment. It's also a really important moment for Spencer because it sets in motion the change in his no-strings relationship that he's held onto for a year with Eliza. As like with 'Crying', 'Moon' was a quick read and fast paced. Sometimes short stories can feel entirely too long but not here. From beginning to end you are drawn into Spencer and Eliza's story. Eliza has known from the moment she met Spencer that he was her mate. Unfortunately, despite having such an intense pull to Eliza, Spencer did not see it the same way. He was so wrapped up in the foretelling of his mate he missed what that pull between them really meant and was telling him. Spencer's rejection of Eliza as mate fuels memories and feelings left behind from the lack of trust and acceptance she experienced in her old pack, the one she was forced to leave behind. When Spencer finally accepts who Eliza is to him and works to prove they are meant to be Eliza finds her self struggling to trust what is in her heart and head. In their journey to mated, secrets are revealed about Eliza's past, while things from Spencer's past confront them head on.These two are really likeable characters and are wickedly hot together. Eliza may make Spencer work to prove he truly loves her and wants to mate her, regardless of the the vision that kept him from her to begin with, but she doesn't refuse getting down and dirty with him. And oh man is Spencer a dirty dirty boy. Love it!This ends with an HEA for Eliza and Spencer but sort of an open cliff that leads into the next book. Which I'm excited for because it's baby bother Parker's turn and he's a favorite of mine.

Rochelle Paige has done it again! The Black River Pack men are seriously tantalizingly delicious!!Spencer is the resident badass enforcer of the pack. It's his job to enforce the rules of the pack and protect the alpha. He doesn't have time nor the desire to hold a long term relationship because he knows that he's destined for a very specific woman. But, like most men he cannot deny his hormonal urges all the time. His instant lust for Eliza makes his leery, but the wolf in his pants clouds his mind. He has to have her as long as he can before his mate appears on the scene.Eliza has had a rough start to her pack life. She is welcomed in the Black River Pack unexpectedly and she begins to work through living back in pack life. She has past issues she needs to work through. Her wolf screams for Spencer, but she knows she's nothing but a bedroom distraction for him until he discovers his mate. As cruel as fate can be sometimes, she will take him as long as she can get himThe sparks in this book... good lord.. prepare for the melting of your computer, nook, kindle, etc. These two wolves know how to turn up the sexually tension and heat. You'll find these characters addicting and sensually stimulating. Rochelle Paige has created a superb PNR series that I hope only continues to become a bigger and better series. If you have a serious love for hot alpha males then pick up this series now!!!

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.Rochelle Paige did it again!!I absolutely loved book 1 in this series. I love this series! Eliza and Spencer had me hooked at the end of Crying Wolf and I couldn’t wait to get to their story. Eliza has had it rough and because of her experiences, she has accepted her life as a loner. However, after stumbling into town, she meets Spencer and recognizes him as her mate. Unfortunately, Spencer is so focused on a prophecy from his grandmother, that he doesn’t see what is right in front of him. And yet, he isn’t able to ignore the raging attraction he has for Eliza. So, he proposes an affair, and Eliza accepts, wanting any part of him she can have, even knowing that in the end her heart will be shattered. Through the events of Crying Wolf, Spencer gets a wakeup call and realizes that he’s been a complete idiot. Now he has his work cut out for him. He has to mend the rips he caused in Eliza’s heart and convince her that he will always be there for her. Spencer and Eliza definitely have depth to them as characters, and in their relationship. There is a backstory to Eliza that justifiably feeds into her fears that Spencer will one day reject her. However, she fights a little too hard sometimes and I kind of wanted to smack her upside the head. But, they are both characters that seem incredibly real and believable. Eliza is the tough, but tender girl you know needs a friend and you just can't help but want to be there for her. Spencer is the dreamy alpha we all want to wake up next to in the morning! He's sexy, rough around the edges, and yet so devoted and loving. I just melted for him. If Eliza hadn't come to her senses, I would have gladly stepped into her shoes...This novella has all the right elements, angst, suspense, and steamy sex! I was sad to see it end, just like I was with Crying Wolf. However, at least I know I’ll get to revisit these characters in Thrown to the Wolves!A quick read, and oh so worth it!

I received as an ARC courtesy of the author in exchange for an honest review“ “You've given me the moon,” I whispered as my eyes drifted closed. “What do you mean, dream girl?” “Don't have to settle for just the stars with you,” I tried to explain. “The stars sound pretty good to me.” “Not when you're shooting for the moon,” I replied just before I fell into a deep, dreamless, and much-needed sleep.””I was seriously on the fence about wanting to read this book because I couldn't see how my feeling towards Spencer could change after reading about his unwillingness to even entertain the idea that Eliza could have been his mate from Crying Wolf. Surprisingly I've been consuming this book like air, its length not even a factor I considered lol. Oddly I was even expecting not to like Eliza's character, and to be honest I have no idea where that expectation came from, probably her role in their ridiculous arrangement instead of fighting for her being established as Spencer's mate. What I didn't like was how after all the stuggle Spencer and her faced, Eliza was still reluctant to become mates with Spencer because of her fears. While I understand her reasons behind it, I still didn't like it. It slowed down the story.Once things moved past Eliza's fears and Spencer put his foot down I fell in love. This book is so good! My goodness, I never thought that I would love Spencer and Eliza's love story as much as I did.I hate to say this but I feel I need to, but this book flowed way better than Crying Wolf. For this book to be short in length it lacked in nothing, absolutely nothing!I can't wait to read book three. From the cliff-hanger I know its going to be explosive!

I received this book for an honest reviewThis is the second book in the series and a great short read. I enjoyed Spencer seeing him try win Eliza over after treating her like he had for all that time. Eliza knew from the minute she saw him but Spencer kept pushing his wolf down and ignoring it. However, after being tossed aside for being able to see the future in her dreams she learned to hid her gift. She never let anyone know of her ability until her pack leaders girl was in trouble then it all came out. She didn’t want to get too close to Spencer because her dreams told her he would never accept her. She had never been accepted by anyone so why would she think any different now. Spencer knew his mate was a woman that walked in dreams and was one of the reasons why he kept Eliza at arms lengths. Now that he knows she is his dream walker he will stop at nothing to win her over. That is until Layla decides that she is the better she-wolf for Spencer and challenges Eliza for Spencer. I so enjoyed Spencer and Eliza story. Spencer was all Alpha once he made up his mind nothing stood in his way he was determined to make Eliza his. It was fun to watch the big bad Alpha try to woo Eliza and win her over. Eliza was so unsure and with all the heartache that she has went though in her lifetime who could blame her for it. The things Spencer finds out about her and her old pack is heartbreaking I wanted to crawl in the book and hug her. I enjoyed that we got to see Hunter and Grace again too. The set up for book three, Parker’s story, was great. I am so looking forward to reading this one too.

www.mysecretromancebookreviews.comEliza is cautious about not just her heart but also her ability to have visions and the impact on others that they cause. Her visions have shown her pain, death and heartbreak. She has seen her future with Spencer and she is scared to open her heart fully. I could totally understand her fears based on her past, but she should have opened up to Spencer a lot sooner.Spencer knows that he messed up, boy does he ever know and is suffering for his mistake. He is determined to show Eliza that she can trust him, love him, everything. He wants his mate and is willing to be patient, well as patient as a male wolf can be. I loved Spencer, he is one sexy wolf that’s for damn sure.If I thought that Crying Wolf was explosive with the sexual chemistry, well then Shoot For The Moon is a step below from a nuclear explosion because this is one hot book. But it is also so much more. It is about acceptance of someone different, forgiving someone you love for have hurting you and it is about trusting that that same person won’t ultimately hurt you once more. I knew going in that Shoot For The Moon would be a more angst filled emotional read because of the circumstances and once again I couldn’t put it down once I started. I am impatiently awaiting for Thrown To The Wolves to be released, which is the next book and one I can’t wait to take a bite out of once I get my greedy reviewer hands on it. I really hope that Ms. Paige writes more shifter books in her future because she is doing a damn good job so far.

Shoot for the Moon was even better than the first book (I loved the first) in the series. It had everything that you normally look for in a good wolf shifter book as far as dominating alpha male, lots of heat, and a strong heroine but this book had a bit of an emotional aspect that I didn’t get from the first.Eliza has been a lone wolf for quite some time and finally found her way into a pack, Black River Pack, but she is completely closed off because of her gift of being able to see (dream) of the future. She is in love with Spencer and knows he is her mate, but believes he will never accept her (has his mate) because she is still holding onto the feeling of being thrown aside for people not believing that she had this gift. They are in a casual sexual relationship and once Spencer realizes that Eliza is his mate now he has to make up for treating her like a fling while also trying to convince her that he would never leave and treat her like others have treated her in the past. “How could I possibly accept his marks with these doubts in my head?”I loved everything about this book, they all tie in together so do not try to read them as standalones. I am stoked for book 3, Thrown to the Wolves, as this book left you cliffhanging a bit, but just as an intro and a good way to have you looking forward to Parker’s story.Book was gifted for an honest review.
