Great illustrations! I didn't realize there were so many different species of sharks. I also did not know that anyone could survive after a great white attack (since I thought it bit off so much of a victim, due to its larger mouth, that there would be nothing left). What is kinda nice about this book was that although it contained plenty of newspaper articles, historical accounts, stats charts, & interviews with victims & eyewitnesses of shark attacks, the pics are not too graphic (so you can enjoy the book with younger kids, just to teach them neat things about sharks). There is one small photo of when a shark bit Valerie Taylor's (AKA--"The Shark Mama", as I nicknamed her:) leg, but you can't even tell it's a pic of a leg. There's just an open wound (that stopped bleeding) surrounded by healthy skin & hospital blankets. There's enough info there for educational purposes, without worrying about losing your lunch!

Fuckin' dopest of the dope, this behemoth of a shark book is all business all the time. You thought you knew about sharks before you read this five-star classic? You were fuckin' wrong. The pictures are pretty too.
