The writing in the beginning of this book is a bit stilted, but the plot moved along well enough that I kept going. There are good plot twists, and good characterization. However, I was disappointed in the ending. I think the author ended it the way he did so that he could write sequels. The ending I would have liked probably would have limited the sequels :-)

Congo Mission was the novel I have wanted to write since I returned from Africa in 1989. With a character and story line to help, I was finally able to tell my readers what living as a missionary is like. There are many experiences, from our short time in Congo, that I could not share, but it was a life-changing experience. I am truly blessed to have had the opportunity to serve. Many missionaries today spend their entire lives living back and forth from US furlows back to their country. I pray for them and am awed by their commitment to the Lord. This fictional account will give you a little window of life in Africa. Enjoy.
