Wow. I just love this series. It's so different than any other angels vs. demons series I've read. Blane is hard at first, yet strong and he shoulders his responsibility well. Of course it would take an amazing woman like Juliet to melt his hard exterior. Juliet is one of the most amazing characters in the book, followed by Nikki as a close second. Juliet is very young in age only, yet she is decades more wise than her years let on because of the hard life she's had. I absolutely love what Juliet manages to do to try to keep her twin sisters and create a family. At first I can't stand her aunt, yet at the end it seems to work out ok. The ending pages were so completely enrapturing that I just couldn't put it down! I'm extremely irritated with a certain Knight and can't believe what he chose to do willingly. The horrors of what those Knights saw on that mountain I can only fathom. I'm also extremely glad that the Elders were there when the Knights needed them the most. I hope that we learn more about Nikki and what happened to her in a future book, with my fingers crossed that she is ok. This series is off to a booming start and I can't wait to read the next one!!! My only criticism is that I wish the book was longer - I didn't want it to end!!
a great love story within a battle of good and evil, can't wait for another by this author.
WOW! Absolutely WONDERFUL.... Valerie Zambito is an author to watch, without a doubt!! If you even kind of enjoyed Fallon Angell you are going to LOVE this one (btw even if you haven't read Fallon's story, you will still be able to enjoy this, but I would suggest you read Fallin to get more back story!) After reading Fallon I knew I would enjoy this series. I also remember thinking the author had a great sense of humor naming the book/lead character Fallon Angell (hmmm fallen angel..) After reading this book I realize yes Mrs. Zambito does have a great sense of honor but also that the name is great foreshadowing in the over all plot as to the secrets locking Tyras!! Not to mention in Blane's story I KNEW Juliet would be his true love, I can not tell you how many times I found myself mispronouncing his name or calling him Romeo instead of Blane Romero. LOL.The writing style is both unique and engaging. This novel moves at a very quick pace and leaves you needing to know more and more! I found myself so engrossed in this book that I was unable to put it down until I was finished... Less then 12 hrs ;) The story of the Knights of Empiraca is so unusual and uplifting the so far both books have left me with a smile and feeling of triumph. This book in particular was so heartwarming. I loved Juliet immediately. I can not wait to be able to read Nikki's story!!!This book wraps up on a happy not but still with great loss and me wanting to know what is in store for Nikki!A must Read!!!Thank you again for sharing your incredible imagination Valerie Zambito!
I had mixed feelings about this book. There was some swearing in it that wasn't in the first book. I didn't like that. I thought the story itself was quite good until the end -- the end can make or break a book for me, and this ending took it from 4 to 3 stars. I felt like the romance in it was rushed too fast. I wanted to see more interaction between Blane and Juliet than there was. However, I will finishing the series.
A story that stands well alone, while fitting into the greater trilogy.I must say I really enjoyed Blane, the second book in the Angels of the Knights trilogy. Like the first book, it's the story of warrior angels who come back to earth at a great price to protect humans from demons who cause havoc in the world. In the greater story that spans the trilogy, hints of a greater conspiracy among the demons build tension and put pressure on Blane to put a stop to their plot. But like in the first story, there is an underlying romance.I thought the romance in this was great: two damaged people finding each other and making each other better. Marriage comes first, the author being true to her morals, no doubt, but I think the situation is a lot more interesting in Blane than in Fallon, where the main characters suffered from instalove. In this one, they feel the attraction, but don't lose their minds to it. It's a good mix and it helped me feel a greater connection to the characters and their budding relationship. But the story isn't all romance. There's action, intrigue and danger. The little bit of foreshadowing is subtle and well-executed, keeping me up reading way too late looking for what came next.I definitely recommend this book to those who like angels vs. demons with a clean romance that still gets the heart racing. Not too many details, and not too few either. A good book for young adult readers.
As much as I enjoyed the first one (though admittedly I think I enjoyed the controversy it seemed to cause as much) this continuing story was even better. The action was intense, and there was plenty of gushy moments too. Blane trying to be the super angel and keep everyone at a distance so he can focus - though he was too intense and out of focus it appears - then finding Juliet, an Intuit that knocked him for a loop was just the icing on an already tasty cake. I'm now almost desperate to know what is going to happen with Nikki in the final book! I'm thoroughly enjoying this series.
good series not amazing but entertaining & a fast read
Wow, a really good continuation of the first book. I look forward to the next.
An excellent read that I would highly recommend
