Has anyone else noticed that Stormy Glenn has written the same novel about 20 times now? Released with a different title and different character names, but still. So formulaic that I can predict the whole plot.3 men, either two tops, or two bottoms. The most junior bottom is always a feisty but delicate little thing that's really a bodice-ripper swooning maiden with a cock. The tops are always growly but invariably have the communication skills of potatoes, resulting in the necessary misunderstanding that delays their HEA by about 50 pages. Whoever is the junior top or senior bottom is the glue that keeps them together. There's a conflict somewhere in the book, but it's fairly minor and resolved quickly. And the whole book revolves around the three of them hooking up. Any secondary plot is purely token and takes up no more than 5 pages total. Here's the problem, because the primary plot always revolves around the three guys hooking up after getting past a misunderstanding and the secondary plot is so token as to be little more than filler in the blurb, every book winds up having the same damn plot. Even the characters are all the same. It's been a very long time since Ms. Glenn presented an original concept in a book. Why does Siren keep publishing this? Why do people keep buying this? Maybe if people stopped buying this then the author would have to come up with more original ideas? I understand that this is supposedly Stormy Glenn's livelihood. If this is how I did my job, I'd have gotten fired.

As with the other books in this series, this one has the building relationship between the mates (in case there are three) as a focal point. The secondary plot revolves around the ongoing story of the conspiracy involving the Teacher - as well as some more newly discovered villains. This is a nicely balanced light read with lots of emotional drama, pouting mates, and some interesting revelations and twists around all the other characters.Justin is so in need of being loved, and of having both his mates, he gets totally desperate when it doesn't happen. Naturally, he blames himself, which makes everything worse. On top of that he finds out more about his family background, and those aren't happy or easy things to deal with. He definitely mans up though, and stole my heart in the process.Taylor only wants the best for Justin, and is mad at Chase for rejecting them. He has a big heart, and feels responsible for Justin, even though the man can take care of himself. Well, mostly. His love and devotion for both his mates is endless, and he is definitely the glue holding everything together.Chase is a secretive and downright negative character in the beginning. Yes, he may have his reasons for not claiming Justin and Taylor, but he is awful about it. Also, when he does give in, I didn't quite get why he suddenly changed his mind. Maybe the stress about Justin has something to do with it, but still. Luckily he redeems himself once he finally makes up his mind.If you like paranormal stories with vampires, werewolves and humans struggling to coexist, if you enjoy dark plots and super-evil villains, and if you're looking to escape into a world of sinister machinations countered by a team of men so in love they burn up the sheets, then you will probably love this book.

Threesomes just rarely ever work. I have read very very few books where I actually believe in the threesomes & believe that they all love each other equally. Man In The Middle just wasn't one of those few books. I liked Chase & I liked Taylor. Taylor had guts and never fell into the category of whiny annoyances. His behaviour in the beginning annoyed me slightly, as all he did was yell most of the time. Chase was just a good guy who believed himself to be bad because of his past. Justin ... Now, people having read my other reviews will know that I usually have a problem with a character in a book. In this one, it was Justin the whiny annoyance who cry at absolutely everything & believes himself to be the center of the world, while denying it. Generally, he was the little bottom boy most of us want to strangle because everyone else dotes on him. Sheesh. It's late & I have more, maybe, to say about this, which will be later. But; check up on threesomes. Please! They are a lot of hard work, even more than two people, but somehow at least one of them always comes off as bratty and the one who has to be protected. Stop that. I love my stereotypes when it comes to M/M, but not this time around.

I'm giving every book in this series two stars because they're badly written and the characters are all obnoxious clichés, but the story is interesting enough for me to want to find out what happens in the next one.

This book is on drugs. There is so much blah-blah. So much repetition and rephrasing of the same damned things, of reasons and emotions – without ever explaining anything or achieving any amount of depth. So much talk around something without actually saying anything does not create suspense – it makes people sound whiny and self-centered.What is going on?! Danny is not a vampire and Dominic is supposed to be unable to ingest someone else’s blood. WTF?Danny was not converted. They stated clearly that Danny did not have the vampire genetics and could never be converted. Now he has fangs and has vampiric scent and taste abilities. And yet his brother does not seem to accuse him of being a vampire. Also, Justin’s telepathy used to be top-notch, the best among their group. Certainly not inferior to Taylor’s.But Samuel and Danny are twins. They are! What kind of alternate reality does this book reside in?Wait, so that freaking ritual transformed Danny into a vampire? Why didn’t they mention that before? I just… No, really. It does not match up with the way the previous book ended – and that was well enough after the ritual. And now, here? Gnnnnargh. So they’ll transform Taylor (despite everyone always saying that can never work without that gene) and apparently our two new little vamps will be perfectly fine consuming bagged blood. Grr. That whole “only your mate can feed you” rule is obviously utter bullshit, since it only counts directly from the source. Yeah, that explains why Zacarius almost died because he could not feed from another. Sure. Go and try to retroactively ruin that book too.The ritual at the end here is just stupid. I was okay with it in the previous book because… Because. But here it gains a layer of no-way and ridiculousness that pushes it over the edge of what I can accept. There’s one more book left for this series, but I feel somewhat disinclined to continue…

Man in the Middle was a very nice addition to Stormy Glenn's Wolf Creek Series. Not only did we get introduced to some new characters, but we had a chance to catch up with some old ones as well.Chase Morgan has been avoiding his mates Justin Ried and Taylor Foyt for a few months now, after discovering them when he helped to rescue the men being held by the Teacher. Every since that fateful day, Chase has thought about nothing but keeping his men safe, even if that meant keeping them away from himself.Taylor Foyt and Justin Ried have known that Chase is their mate since first meeting the wolf. They see his ill fated attempts to keep them at arms length, but both are growing tired of wanting a male that doesn't seem to want them. So what's a man to do when his mate doesn't seem interested....?The inner struggle that Chase dealt with in wanting to keep his mates safe was well done. You could see that he wanted both men, yet something held him back and it was upsetting when said men came to their own conclusions, albeit the wrong one. This story is all about communication. One of the key element in making or breaking any relationship. It is apparent that if these fella's had just been able to put their issues aside, they might have been able to forgo everything that happened to them. Then again, maybe not. There are some things in the story that lead to self discoveries and harsh realities. Yet the men seem to some out stronger for it all. Which was good to see. You get so also see some character progression in this books as well. Once these man learn things about each other and situation arise that change the course of their lives, you see the differences in them.A very nice addition to the series. And a nice lead in to book 10. Well done, Stormy.

I hate that I have to read a menage story in order to continue with the series. She writes menage-only series. Why can't she write couples-only series? Why doesn't Chase at least tell his mates as much as he told Joe?Juice is just as bad for diabetics as Coke, and isn't healthy. The only difference is that juice has vitamins. Otherwise, they're both pure sugar without fiber or protein to process it. Fried foods aren't a problem for diabetics, although terrible for you. Insulin isn't a "med"; it's something naturally in your body. He would have had to test his blood sugar, too. (view spoiler)[I wish they'd left him with a disability/disease.(hide spoiler)]These shifters are too perfect. The only thing that ever happens is one of them is blind. That's horrific, but it's all that happens and it's been in many shifter books. Lots of stuff characters see but couldn't possibly like seeing a flash of fang an instant before it hits the watchers neck which is exposed. "Might" not "may"!Feeding a few times a week even from one person is too much. We have only 10 pints of blood and it takes a couple of months to replenish. In other books, mates were dying because they couldn't feed from their mates but now bagged blood is okay?"Don't forget that he might have sired more children than half the women on the planet..." The same is true about any father. I don't now of any woman who's sired anyone. :)Same old same old but okay peril and angst.

Man in the Middle by Stormy GlennAdults Only!!!This is the 9th book in the Wolf Creek series. The main people are Chase Morgan, Taylor Foyt and Justin Ried. If you have read the other books than you know that Chase is a wolf shifter, Taylor and Justin are human. Taylor and Justin have been loves for years but when they were rescued from The Teacher they discovered that Chase is their mate. Chase must overcome his fears from his past to claim his mates. The all discover a great deal about Justin that no one, not even Justin knew. This book was quick read. My biggest issue with the book is some of the story lines that are followed through the whole series. This can been a standalone book but as it is part of a series then the details need to stay the same. In the previous book Blood Contract, Danny and Samuel are twins. That is an important part of that book but in this book they are just brothers not twins. Also, Danny and Dominic are mated through a forbidden ancient ritual but Danny is and stays human but in this book it has him being converted into a vampire from the ritual. Danny being human is also an important part of the last book. That issue really gets to me. The book overall was a good book and I liked it but I hate when important details from another book in a series are messed with.

2nd Read: 9/2/12I started this series a few days ago and I absolutely love it. For one it's not based on a formula like so many of these series are and the world building is incredible. This book had so much emotion in it. I spent the first half in tears from Taylor's pain and anger over Justin leaving him due to Chase's unwillingness to claim them. I was feeling all his anxiety and fear from not knowing where Justin was and all the anger and resentment from Chase being the cause. It was rough on my emotions. But when Chase finally gave in to his need for his mates, it was sublime. Also, the continuation of the main plot thread of an evil entity made up of The Teacher, Phillip Spender and Lowell Erickson that is trying to possibly create an army of paranormal soldiers, has me very much looking forward to the next book. I'm dying to know what the other three species are and just how many more siblings that Danny, Samuel and Justin have.

I'm so glad this series maintain my interest, sometimes series go down the hill with the speed of a bullet and I can't be bother to keep reading. In this case, apart from book 8, this is one of my favorites. We have 2 tough characters Chase and Taylor, both very likable indeed. The third member of this lovely 3some is Justin, a very sensitive, selfless, charming, who cries when he is happy and also when he is sad, some of you may find him annoying, I found him absolutely adorable, and he complement and valance this relationship beautifully. We also see diferent characters from the previews books, I love when authors do that, and we keep in touch with some of our favorites heroes.I hope the next sequel will be about Samuel.

I was wondering if we'd EVER get the low down on this mating! I must say, this book took me by surprise! (view spoiler)[I never saw Chase fighting the mating (and for at least 2 months!) as one of the possible outcomes. I did find it annoying to have the constant excuse of Chase's past as the reasoning and having to wait so long for the explanation..which also didn't come across as bad as it was supposed to be to me. The fact that Justin ended up a vampire without knowing was weird but not so far out there in the way it was done to take away from the story. The only other major thing for me was the ritual performed to convert Taylor. I found the sex scene confusing.. not the beginning but when they get to where they are going to claim everyone. It just seemed to jump from them in one location (read the book to get those details!! LOL) to another location in order to claim each other. Other than that, I found it every enjoyable. I'd like to read up on Sully and Samuel next or even MARC ending up with a mate (shifter OR vampire!) (hide spoiler)]

3.5-4 stars. Not my favorite in the series but another fun entry. We finally get the Chase-Justin-Taylor story hinted at in the first book of this series. It's hard to believe only two months has passsed - given all the books in between - but that's the timeline given. The guys are fun and we get to visit some previous characters. Justin was a bit over the top at times but the threesome worked for me. The final bonding scene was a bit eye rolling, but I do enjoy my guilty pleasure of Stormy Glenn. If you are looking for something that isn't too heavy, have enjoyed other in the series and that you won't take too seriously, this is a good read in a good Stormy Glenn series.

The plot is mostly the same in all her books... I mean it's ok for reading when you don't have anything more to read, or you want something short before starting a long and dense novel but... yeah the relationship between the main leads is always the same, here and in the other books but.. enjoy I guess (?)...

I know men have always been portrayed as not communicating, but I'm really not liking using lack of talking as a tension device. It's more of a cop out. There were so many other avenues Ms. Glenn could have used as the tension for this story - mostly just about anything from Chase's secret past that is coming up to bite him in the ass.

Definitely my least favorite out of the last nine books. I wanted Justin and Taylor to be more than what they were. I'm not even sure if I can explain that. They weren't very vibrant characters. Chase was way too predictable.I was very disappointed because I had been looking forward to this one. Oh well.

This was a pretty good installment. After the previous book, I wasn't sure about the series but I liked Man In The Middle. Justin and Taylor were cuties and made me chuckle. It wasn't a deep menage story but that's ok. Its not that type of book. Good read.

We finally have Chase, Justin, and Taylor's story. This is a less dramatic story than I was lead to believe by the blurb. Lots happens in very little time with the story. You are thrown from one situation to another and then the end. I did like the three some and they make a great...group;)

This took a long time coming and all the hype for not claiming his mates sooner, it ended up being a huge let down.
