Cage of Eden 5 Reviews
This is actually getting better, more intense, and not as predictable as I thought it was going to be. Last two volumes have added a lot of layers with new characters and consequences.Still have no idea what's really going on, or how Mariya's laptop continues to work ...I'm really glad I picked this series up, which I did completely randomly. Sometimes that does work out!
Wow, I haven't seen a mass-murderer earn such easy redemption since Spike turned good on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.Doesn't work any better this time around.
If you've made it this far in the series, then you know what to expect: lots of strange animals, lots of fanservice, and most of all lots of action! This volume picks up where the previous one left off, finishing up the story arc with Arita and bringing us a second arc with many of the students from the school that have banded together. I have to say that one of the things I like about the series so far is that it genuinely tries to bring in as many realistic explanations for things as possible. While I'm not someone who would be able to verify that they're doing it accurately, it seems genuine enough to make the strangeness a bit more grounded at times- which is very much needed with how relatively fast paced things have become. The only negative thing I really have to say at this point is that the characters are a little thinly depicted at this point. We've had enough action to justify the lack of deep, deep character development and there has been some small moves into the backgrounds of some of the characters, but I can't help but wish that we had a little more to go on at times. This isn't a major issue, just something I really hope they work on a little more as the series progresses. (This is volume five, so the major world building is already established and now we need to go more into the characters because the whole "strange critters attacking" bit can only carry it for so long before it turns into a Sailor Moon "monster of the day" scenario.)I have to say, I'm rather pleased with this series as a whole and this volume is no exception. It's something that I'd still categorize as "teen male fare", but I'm surprised that this isn't more mainstream than it is. It's well worth collecting if you like action filled manga and comics.
Speriamo migliori!
It’s OK not great and not bad you can say it’s enjoyable with some interesting event here and there
I may be becoming too hopeful, but this story may be on the way to an upbeat. Aside from that, I really will hold no opinion right now.
